Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

  • Please fill out this form in the case of the original applicant. Then attach the proof of an address change or other information.
  • If the applicants don't have proof of their change of address, he may certify the form to the following individuals
    • Gazetted Officer - Group A
    • Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
    • Gazetted Officer - Group B
    • MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
    • Tehsildar
    • Head of Recognized Education Institution
    • Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
    • Recognized shelter houses/Orphanages

UIDAI allows cardholders with Aadhaar cardsto change their address without requiring any documents. Aadhaar cardholders could change their addresseven if they have not provided documents proving their identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily halted a vital facility that lets you change your Aadhaar card's address without document of your address.

UIDAI lets those who have Aadhaar cards to change their address without needing any documents. Aadhaar card holders are able to update their address if they agree to the authentication to the identity verifier. An address verifier could be a close friend, relative landlord, family member or even a friend who will permit the Aadhaar card holder to use their address to prove their identity.

UIDAI has stopped the feature. UIDAI provided a response to an Card holder by tweeting that the capability to change the address on Aadhaar Card using an Address Validation Form has been removed. UIDAI has requested Aadhaar issuers to remind the Aadhaar issuer to advise users to update their address by using another current PoA document.

UIDAI offers the following documents as POA documents (Proof Of Address) documents that contain Name and Address for Aadhaar cards

Passport

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not more than 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older that 3 months)

Credit Card Statement (not more than 3 months old).

Photo of signature from Registered company on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

Travel documents of parents (in in the case of minors)

Central/ State Govt. It issued an allotment order to accommodate. (Not more than 3 years)

Bhamashah Card/Jan Aadhaar card issued Governmentt. Rajasthan
